Sarah Jane Simpson was the daughter of Emma Norton and George Lewis Simpson. She was born in Cliffe, Yorkshire on October 1, 1856.
She married David Edward Davis. They had the following children:
- Maud Davis
- Ernest Davis
- Amanda Davis
- Sarah Jane Davis
Ann’s two sisters, Ann Warner Simpson and Mary Emma Simpson, also married David Edward Davis. The three sisters bore him 21 children, that we know of, between 1868 and 1889.
Sarah died in Clover, Utah on September 13, 1940, at the age of 83. She was buried at the Tooele City Cemetery in Tooele, Utah.
