Ann Lofthouse was the daughter of Mary Warner and John Lofthouse. She was born in Wheldrake, Yorkshire about 1834.
She married Jonathan Fairburn in Wheldrake on November 27, 1854. They had eight children:

- John Arnett Fairburn
- Alfred Fairburn
- Walter Fairburn
- Seth Fairburn
Ann died in York in 1890.
