The Reverend Isaac Norman was the son of Amaziah Norman (1844–1916) and his wife Elizabeth Courage (1846–1879). He was born on August 18, 1870 in Trinity North, Newfoundland.

Isaac was a prominent minister in the Methodist Church (later the United Church of Canada). He died in Montreal on February 5, 1933 and was buried in Arundel, Quebec. You can read his obituary, from the Montreal Gazette, here.
