Dorothy A. Kessock is the daughter of Andrew Kessock (1903–1969) and Elizabeth Shugars (1907–1980). She was born in Frackville, New Jersey on February 24, 1928.

Dorothy died in Clatsop County, Oregon on December 28, 1993. She was buried at Ocean View Cemetery in Warrenton, Oregon.
