Second Generation: Mary Warner < William Warner

My 4th great grandaunt (5th great aunt)

Mary was the daughter of William Warner and Elizabeth White. She was the youngest of William and Elizabeth’s eleven children (that I have been able to identify) and was born in Howden, Yorkshire on July 4, 1799. She married John Lofthouse in Wheldrake, Yorkshire on December 12, 1825.

They had the following children:

  1. William Lofthouse

  2. Henry Lofthouse

  3. Ann Lofthouse

  4. John Lofthouse

  5. Mary Lofthouse

Mary died in Yorkshire, probably in Wheldrake, in November 1860. She was buried in Wheldrake on November 4.

    Notes

Mary was the second of William and Elizabeth’s daughters to bear that name. An older sister named Mary had been born in 1794 and died in February of that year.

    * For my most distant cousins (the ones not descended from the William Warner who married Hannah Benson and emigrated to Canada in the 1820s), this website (for the time being) only expands the family lines that have been supported by DNA evidence. In the case of this family, only Ann Lofthouse‘s line meets that criterion.
