Sarah Ann Williams was the daughter of Hannah Maria Warner and Thomas Robert Williams. She was born in Toronto on March 12, 1861.

She married George Rawes Fawcett in Toronto on March 9, 1887. They had six children, but only two lived to adulthood:

  1. Edna Rawes Fawcett (died in infancy)
  2. Roy Williams Fawcett (died in infancy)
  3. Marjorie Isobel Fawcett
  4. George Rawes Fawcett Jr. (died in childhood)
  5. James Winston Fawcett (died in infancy)
  6. James Waldon Fawcett

Sarah died in Parry Sound, Ontario on June 15, 1939, at the age of 78. She was buried at the Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Toronto.
