Mary Louise Wilson was the daughter of Barry Wilson and Mary Pullin. She was born on August 24, 1930. Friends and family called her “Mary Lou.”

Obituary for Mary Louise Penelton (Wilson)
At home, surrounded by family and her beloved dogs, on Wednesday, September 18, 2013, age 83. Much-loved wife of John Penelton. Mother of Ian (Tracy Howard) and Paul (Cathy). Nanny-Lou to Samantha Meredith, Brooklyn Rose, and Kennedy Taylor. Predeceased by her brother Peter Wilson. Mary Lou was a dedicated nurse who began her career at St. Joseph Hospital, Saint John, NB, and continued her work at the Lakeshore General Hospital in Pointe Claire, QC. She finished her career at the Montfort Hospital in Ottawa, where she spent 22 years. Mary Lou was a woman of exceptionally strong character who always put her family first and was a devoted mother, grandmother, and wife. The family would like to extend a special thank-you to the doctors, nurses, and caregivers involved in Mary Lou’s care.
Friends are invited to visit at the Brown Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 805 Prescott Street, Kemptville, on Sunday, September 22, 2013, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
A celebration of Mary Lou’s life will be held in the chapel at 2 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CHEO or the Ottawa Humane Society.
