Alice Clarkson was the daughter of Alfred Clarkson (about 1848–1918) and his wife Maria Hodgkinson (about 1853–?). She was born in Goole, Yorkshire on May 1, 1878.*
She married George Gott in Goole on May 19, 1896. For information about their family, please refer to his page.
Alice died in Holderness, Yorkshire on April 24, 1957, at the age of 78. She was buried at the Goole Cemetery.

* One document, the 1939 England and Wales Register, gives Alice’s date of birth as May 1, 1876. However earlier documents (Civil Registration Birth Index and the census entries for 1881, 1891, and 1911) make it clear that 1878 is the correct year.
